- December 7th 2009 - Drainage work begins

November 2009 - The primary contractor has been appointed - local company Greenfields Ltd, Gloucester. Timetables and equipment selections are now being finalised. These will be available shortly!
October 2009 - Tender requests have been posted and will be opened in mid-October.
September 2009 - A large team of volunteers spent a morning clearing brambles to increase the area of the playground. Thanks to Rob Keene for the loan of a trailer and disposing of the brambles, and to Jonathan Bishop of Foliation Ltd for donating both his time and tools to help make the task easier.
July 2009 - Excellent News! We have heard that we have been successful in gaining a grant of £49,999 from the National Lottery. The project also has the promise of a £12,500 grant from Tewkesbury Borough Council and has received £5,000 from Grassroots so together with fundraising we have now reached our target of £75,000. Cllr Mark McGillion said "We intend to push ahead full steam with the tender process and look forward to an installation sometime in the Autumn". "The Highnam Recreation Ground Project is being funded through the Community Spaces programme. The Community Spaces grants programme is being managed by Groundwork UK as an Award Partner to the Big Lottery Fund. Community Spaces is part of the Big Lottery Fund's Changing Spaces initiative".
